You make an interesting distinction between a country collapsing vs currency / government. I dissagree that people are still going on living and working as if currency and government have no effect on real life.  I have read some articles and watched some programs that paint a pretty bleak picture of life in a country after a collapse of this magnitude. I certainly hope it doesn&#039;t happen here.</description>

Did you mean the currency collapsed?
For all the talk about Iceland&#039;s troubles, I would not say that the country has collapsed. I&#039;m sure that people are still living there and going to work and doing business, even through all this.

Perhaps you mean that the government collapsed? The old government is gone, but not much has changed- they have a new government now ready to make the same mistakes as the last government.

Seems that it&#039;s just one wing of the mafia taking over for another.</description>
