Can't really see what age has to do with owning gold vs silver. Understanding all aspects of silver including the fundamentals, the relative 'velocity' of up/down fluctuations, and the psycology of the 'herd' gives the astute investor the perspective to go with the flow rather than to panic if the price movemnents exhibit irational exuberance on ocassion. Silver is indeed 'money' which has been co-opted for a myriad of non-monetary applications, thereby further strengthening the fundamentals in spades! My investment strategy is to accumulate as much as possible, both in the ground (securities) as well as in the closet (physical mental in my possession) anticipating the day when the correct ratio will reflect the actual fundamentals. I'm 62 - before I'm 'old', I expect to see the gold-silver ration at 1:5 by and by. No Sir, I did not stutter:-) Cheers

Seems that silver has significantly more risk/reward factor than does gold. My philosophy right now is that the younger you are, the more silver you should own and the older you are the more gold you should have.
