If you want to see what a world looks like when Gold is used as currency you may begin with Zimbabwe.

They have experienced hyperinflation to the point that in order to buy bread today you can buy it with tiny amounts of Gold.

So the people are out prospecting !

I believe I read ( 6 months ago) where the annual Gold production of the world&#039;s largest Gold producer had fallen  to&gt;10% of normal production.
The miners were having trouble getting paid for their labor as by the time they came out of the mine from a day&#039;s work, the wage was worthless !
Naturally they quit mining !
I purchased a $100,000,000,000,000 note from Zimbabwe a few months ago and STILL IT WORTH not much.
